Someone on tumblr asked what piles were. These are piles of containers. Shipping containers to be exact. They from 20”, 40”and 45” ft. In length and can be stacked from 2 to 5 high. Last night i had to go thru these piles and verify the spot location of 1 to 7 cans in each pile from my work sheet. Out of the three teams, I was the only one with over 150 cans to verify. Which is hard to do when you are look up a 4-5 story sheer wall trying to read a sequence of numbers printed no bigger then the palm of your hand while stuck in the spaces between piles. The cans are often stacked too close together and can be super tight, even smaller folks have difficulty getting in. Plus the darkness doesn’t make things any easier. It’s a tough job, but one worth doing.

Dear sweet baby jeebus! Clerking in the piles, like a bad version of the pitch and catch. (at SSA LB 94 (ZIM))
